Learning more about photography to produce better images.

We just had our end of year review which culminated in choosing 2 shots of the year in our mini competition.

The winner of the 'Shots taken on photography group outings' was Pete King with his beautiful shot of the duckling.

The winner of 'Shots taken outside photography group outings' was Sarah Benson with her bird taken in Costa Rica.

Do you take photographs?  Would you like to take better photographs?

It’s all about pictures and the desire to communicate, so our aim is to promote an appreciation of all forms of photography.  All photographers, regardless of experience or the equipment they use, are welcome in the Photographic Group.  It is a group for those that enjoy photography and wish to improve their photographic technique and knowledge; it is for beginners and experienced photographers alike.  You don’t require an expensive single lens reflex camera to join in; just an interest in photography and a simple camera or mobile smart phone. Plus a wish to join a social group of friends.

Many meetings take the form of photographic expeditions followed on subsequent meetings a review discussion of photographs taken.  Expeditions are interspersed with talks and occasional Study Days. Regular assignments are set.

The programme for the Faringdon u3a Photography Group is below but may be subject to change. In addition there will be repeat visits to places previously visited.  These will be arranged on an ad hoc basis to suit Group Members. Arrangements for photographic expeditions are circulated prior to the date. Additional expeditions will be arranged as appropriate.
