Our entertainment at this event is Add Hock – A group of three virtuosos – bass, soprano, pianist will entertain us with the history and tunes of George Gershwin (1898 - 1937) & Irving Berlin (1888 - 1989). Their presentation is entitled Friends & Rivals.
And to think that the two could not have been more different in their background music education. Gershwin, extraordinarily gifted in everything from Broadway to the Classical Concert Hall, and Berlin, never learning to read music but composing by ear over 1500 songs, including lyrics, of some of the most loved of all time.
