The intriguing title for our May talk is 'The Invisible Brick - Revealed in Language and Literature, Film and Fiction, Music and Murder, in the local area and much more' by Martin Buckland. His talk takes a different look at an article so abundant that it becomes invisible.  The manufacture of bricks and the various types are described. There will be real bricks to look at and handle as well as numerous pictures relating to the wider world of bricks - you may be surprised that many are not of bricks themselves! For example – ‘How many song titles can you think of that have ‘brick’ in them?’.  Do you know the difference between a brick bat and a bat brick?
